Mega update

My cute Chelsea likes to put the Mr. Potato Head glasses on. Upside down, of course, every time!

Here's how far behind I really am with the blog. This is Brienna's three month shot. She's going on five months now!

Here is Chelsea at three months, naked, on a towel.

Here is Brie three months, with a diaper but you can't tell, on a towel. I was trying to get the same type of angle so I could compare it specifically with the previous photo. Bathrooms don't have good lighting I discovered. (Chelsea's three month bath/photo was in the living room.)

Again with comparing the two naked girls at the same age. Again with the bad lighting. Gah.
Aren't naked babies just cute?!

Sisterly love. Chels loves to help out with Brie. She's getting pretty lovey too, as you will see toward the end of the post. That's really nice, but sometimes it really isn't that helpful, hehe.

Here is a little baby in a big high chair. And big sister who is very protective.

Cheese! I bet she feels like such a big girl now that she sits in her high chair to eat!

Swimming! Gotta love indoor pools, especially when they come with big water slides!

The only bad part of this experience was the stuffy nose that followed. Grrr.

Chelsea looks really sad in this photo, but she is the one that requested me to take the picture. Then she refused to smile. Kids.

More bad lighting, sorry. Brie is perpendicular to her starting position here. She was starting the rolling over process at this point, but most just rotating. Eventually she rotated 180 degrees and I bed if I had left her longer and in a more open space she would have gone full circle.

My big girl on her tummy. Look how far she can hold her head up!

We had the Vande Hoef family over for dinner one night. Here is Brie "eating" her dinner. I didn't realize how tired she was so when I sat her down to feed her, she was only able to eat a couple bites before she just couldn't keep her eyes open any longer! I had a good laugh.

At the Pizza Ranch which is new in Minot. It is just off the parking lot of Walmart, my home away from home. My batteries died so I wasn't able to get a better shot of Chelsea than this. But Daddy was making Brie dance which made Chelsea laugh, which made Brie laugh. It was a riot!

Luckily I was able to get a picture of each girl before the camera batteries died. Isn't she cute in her snowsuit?

Aaaaand here we are at Brienna's FOUR month photos! I love her grin! I was so lucky to get these shots. This was right after church, fresh out of the snowsuit and a four hour nap in the carseat through church, with a wet diaper, before eating, and right before she threw an "impatient for dinner" fit.
A couple good smiles. She knew right when I was taking the picture and smiled big several times. Why can't they do that all the time?

For our last family home evening (yes we are almost caught up!) we took the easy cookie making route. That is definitely one of Chelsea's favorite activities. She asks all the time if we are going to make cookies.

While we waited for our cookies to bake we introduced journals to the girls. They obviously need help writing, but I don't mind doing it. Chelsea adds some pictures of her own. Our goal is to add to their/our own journals once a week. Saturday is bubble bath day, Monday is family home evening day, and we are making Sunday journal day! (I hope)

What an interesting thing, that pacifier.

Fried chicken, anyone?

On Saturday we participated in a curling tournament. This is our team, the Chimney Sweeps on Ice! Woo! Mark and Katy Vande Hoef joined Rick and I. We won our first game, lost our second, and then there was a shootout. We didn't win, but Mark did win a door prize! We had a blast. I'm still feeling the burn in my muscles! It's more physically challenging than it looks! Plus we played for several hours and Katy and I did an awful lot of sweeping. Go us!

Yes, I'm smiling for the camera. This turned out well because I'm actually sliding, not just posing.

Another motion shot. I wouldn't mind going curling again. It was lots of fun. This was our second time ever curling. The first time was five years ago.

Cutie baby holding her own bottle! Too bad she doesn't keep a good hold on it the whole time she is drinking. Oh well. Progress! She's getting so big!

This is from just this afternoon. I talked about the lovey-ness that is awfully cute but not very helpful. Well here is a great example. It was pretty tricky trying to hold up the baby whilst Chelsea was hugging her and take a halfway decent picture at the same time. Despite a goofy Chelsea face I think it turned out well.

Goofy faces for both! Don't mind the gi-normous looking arm on the left. Baby can't stand up on her own just yet, hehe.

Ahh a break from standing and hugging.

Ok, a break from standing! Brie didn't mind, even though her face was getting tickled.

More love. Aren't they cute?

Chelsea discovered the consequences of getting within reach of a baby's hands. You get grabbed! She also got swatted and her hair pulled several times. She thought it was funny. Glutton for punishment? Maybe. :)
