First Half of December 2014

Again, a little out of order, but oh well. This is Brie practicing her splits before the beginning of their second dance performance, the Christmas recital.

Abby is helping her Angelina Ballerina doll to clap.

My cute dancers. I'm betting Abby will become a dancer when she is old enough next year. She was having a blast dancing away to the pre-show music.

Back to the beginning of the month. Putting up the tree and other decorations!

Abby showed me where to put each of these train sticky things.

Chelsea got to put up a window cling Christmas tree.

Brie got to put up a window cling gingerbread house.

Abby put all her decorations in one spot.

Brie got to put up the angel

All lit up. The girls had a really cute dancing silhouette but I couldn't capture it with the camera.

All of the second graders at Longfellow did their music program.

I took these next shots of the group for Chelsea's benefit. I bet she will look at them years from now and recognize all the people and comment on how young/nerdy/fabulous/whatever they look like.

Happy Christmas to all, and to all, a GOOD NIGHT!

November 2014

There was only us and one other little girl for a story time at Barnes N Noble. It was pretty nice. They got to put their pictures up on the wall at the store.

Time for the first dance performance of the season!

Chelsea wanted Scarlet in the picture.

Abby didn't want to be left out of the photo action. So she and Thumper posed as well.

Most of the photos I took were dark or blurry, but here's Brie getting set up for the beginning of her performance.

This is a pretty good action shot, I think.

Can you spot Chelsea?

October 2014

These are slightly out of order, but oh well. We painted our pumpkins from the pumpkin patch!

Starting our Trick or Treating trek at the house across the street from Grandma Heit's. The girls love the ghosts in the tree and comment on them regularly. We started out in lighter jackets and soon put on winter coats because it got cold super fast when the sun went down.

More trick or treating. I told the girls to look scared. Chelsea is the only one who heard/paid any attention.

 At the ward Halloween party.

And now we jump back to the beginning of the month. Abby and Brie both had birthdays! Abby turned three and wanted a ladybug cake, and Brie turned five and wanted a strawberry cake.

Auntie Jennifer also has an October birthday, so we combined all into one party. Jennifer also hosted a magic show for all of us.

Some of the tricks were little science demonstrations or mathematic demonstrations. She did a good job!

A pumpkin bag of candy for everyone!

 Our kids all love suckers.

They were all interested in seeing what Jennifer got.

A cute ladybug just like the one on her cake. She gave it a big hug, but I didn't get a picture of it. It was really sweet.

 Blowing out candles. And hiding.

 Objecting about something.

 Blowing the camera out

 All the party people

During the Hostfest Grandma Kelly housed some relatives and their friend. The girls do still stay the night there on Thursdays, and with all the extra company, the girls got to sleep in the family room. Chelsea was being especially goofy this night.

Back to Halloween. Chelsea was "Autumn Fairy"

Brie was "Tippy Tumbelina," a Lalaloopsy character.

Abby wanted to be Hello Kitty again, but this was the closest thing we could find. It just a black kitty, but we called it "Black Hello Kitty."

Abby wasn't in the mood to have her picture taken. At all. I was trying to get them all to stand up and pose by the wall. The bigs were up for it, but not Abby. So this is what we got.

Abby's mood didn't improve at the ward party. Even cupcakes didn't thrill her very much.

 Auntie Beth, the "Mad Scientist"

Family photo. I was a butterfly and Daddy was a lumberjack.
