St. Patrick's and Other Sillyness

A fun St. Patrick's Day activity with Auntie Beth

The girls had lots of fun making their pretty pictures!

They enjoyed the snacking on the marshmallows as well. (Not the gluey ones, of course) The bigs, as we sometimes refer to Chelsea and Brie, wanted to stay in their dresses after church. The little one didn't have a choice. I didn't want it to get messy between the glue and dinner.

 Ta da!

We have our bearded leprechaun holding her pot of gold. You can see the little coins sticking out of the top of her pot if you look close enough.

Today was Brie's second day of preschool. She LOVES it. She is so ready for it, too. She gets right in there and talks to the kids and the teachers. She had absolutely NO separation anxiety whatsoever. She loves the toys and she follows all the directions. What a champ! She made this flower today.

"I look like a NERD." Those are Chelsea's words. I've never heard her call herself or anyone else a nerd before, but she totally embraced the role. These are mommy's glasses, but I think she looks pretty darn cute.

So silly! She's getting dolled up for her dance performance that starts in...45 minutes. It will be her final recital of the season. I'm excited to see it! Her dancing is getting SO much better. I'm really impressed by her.

This was Chelsea's favorite shot. What a nerd.
(Just kidding!)

The Cat in the Hat

Chelsea wrote a book the other night. I've always said she would be a good author. I was right. :)
Here is the cover of her book. The Cat in the Hat is on the left, NOT waving, but shielding his eyes from bright light as he searches for Thing 1 and Thing 2, one of which is peeking out at him grinning.
Enjoy the story!

In case you can't read kid-writ, I will translate.
"One day the Cat in the Hat woke up and could not find Thing 1 and Thing 2." Again, he is not waving. But Things 1 and 2 are both peeking out now.
"The next day the Cat in the Hat found thing 1 but Thing 2 was missing!"
She meant to write still missing, but forgot.

"The next day Thing 2 was back but Thing 1 was gone!" Tricksy little fellows, aren't they?
"The next day both Thing 1 and Thing 2 were gone again."

"The next day he found them. Hooray he said."
"The next day they had so much Seuss fun"

"And the next day they were so very happy."
"And then they all lived happily ever after."

Wait, there's more pages here. Ummm. I'll put a rainbow! thought Chelsea. And so she did.
And that is her first book. She started a pirate book before, but she never got around to finishing it. I still have the pages. I should see what she comes up with for it now, months later.

Triplets!

Third time's a charm. I'm having trouble getting this post uploaded and published properly for some reason.
Anyway.
Grandma bought Brie a night gown. Chelsea liked it so much that we went out and got one just like it for her. And we got one for Abby while we were at it. Now I have triplets! So to speak.

Everyone give mommy a hug and kiss goodnight at the same time, ready, GO! Pandemonium. I love my girls so much!

Today was beach day at school so the kids were encouraged to dress accordingly, minus actual swim suits. Chelsea loves these shorts, which came with a pair of pajamas. She had to lift up her swim hoodie to make sure they could be seen in the picture.

Here is my stepladder of children from when Abby was three weeks old. Now she's going on a year and a half. These kids just keep growing up! And getting bigger! Abby is even big enough to pick her own nose now. Goof.
