Growing up fast!

Hello Everyone! It's good to have you back on our blog! We've had a fun week! Every week is fun, though. Chelsea is such a big girl! She has mastered crawling and standing up on furniture and walking along furniture and going from furniture to furniture (as long as it is within reach) and crawling over Mommy's legs and she's even whistled a couple of times! She stands up in her crib now, which is both adorable and a little frustrating. It's hard for a babe (or parents) to go back to sleep during the night when standing up! Oh well. She's about grown out of her back-facing car seat. Soon we will have to spring for a new one! We are raising a mooch. It's our own faults, though. But Chelsea can at least SORT of drink out of a glass; with a lot of help. Some of her hair in the front is getting long enough to lay down a bit. I'm looking forward to being able to fix her hair and do it up all pretty. Right now the length and the poof prevent any fancy 'dos.

Here you can see her crawl and you can see her method of pulling herself up. She's pretty cute, and I think she knows it. :)

A Look Back

We didn't take many pictures or videos this week. So here are a few from way back. Enjoy!

Here is four generations of Heits! Notice how dark Chelsea's hair is. She started out with Mommy hair, but is ending up with Daddy hair!

Ah the days when she couldn't go anywhere. :) Sometimes I wish she would just hang out like this for a few minutes nowadays. I'd get more housework done....Maybe....

Many of you wonder what she would look like without the fuzzy hair sticking up all over. Well here it is all wet down. She almost looks like a different baby, huh?

Eight Months

Eight months old tomorrow! Wow, how time flies. This little girl is growing up so fast! She is starting to get up on her hands and knees more. She rocks back and forth, and a couple times now she has actually taken a few steps with her hands before splatting down on her tummy. Chelsea and mom spent the weekend in Bismarck for their ward conference. Chelsea was a good girl, and actually got to sleep in a big bed with Mommy for the first time! Of course, Chelsea was queen of the bed, starting out on the side, but ending up upside down smack in the middle by morning. Mommy didn't mind though.

One of Chelsea's favorite toys is this little paddle ball minus the paddle. The string is bouncy!

This was just tonight (Sunday). She looks like she was bored there for a minute, hehe!

Chelsea thinks it is hilarious when Daddy puts the ring on his head and lets it drop. You can tell she's having a good time by all the screeches!

Daddy got some new work clothes. Chelsea liked playing with, or rather, IN the bag.

A New Year!

Hello and Happy 2008 to you all! I hope everyone's year has started out well. Ours is great so far! Rick enjoys his job very much. I am finally working part time, and I love every extra second I have at home with my family!

Chelsea is doing very well. She rolled over last night, though she didn't like being on her back any more than she liked being on her tummy.

She loves her new dollhouse that Grandma Kelly gave her. She loves chewing the dolls and furniture, but she's learned how to use the house itself to help her get into a standing position! She'd rather stand and walk than sit or lay down any day.

Her newest trick so far is sliding on her tummy feet first off the couch and landing on her feet. It's very cute. Backwards seems to be the easiest way to go. ;)
