Is she really walking?

Sorry for the lack of videos recently. We've been slacking a little in that area. So here are a few vids to delight you. Chelsea is growing up so quickly! I like to watch her walk back and forth along the couch. She always carries something with her.

Late Start

Sorry for taking so long to post! It's almost been another whole week!

Spiky hair!

Isn't she getting so big?

Impatient for Mom to finish making her dinner

Who wants to play a game? There are 78 or something games in our closet, not all of which fit in the picture.

Chelsea in her Easter dress. We are raising a future football player? Go long, Beth!

At Walmart
What is this you put on my head?

I'll just have to take it off.

And who are you?

Alright, if I have to. *Half grin*

Turning ten months in a few days!

Hello Everyone! I hope you enjoy these pictures. Our little girl is growing up so fast! Her left front tooth has finally broken through. That makes the official count three. I think she's working on about four teeth right now. We'll see when the others show themselves. She's becoming more adventurous (did I spell that right?) with her mobility. She falls quite a bit, but then again, she's taking steps without holding on! Yes! It won't be too much longer before we can officially call her a walker. Well Steph and Andy Holland are in town for spring break, so we've had lots of good game time this week, and more to come! (Killer Bunnies, Rage, and Carcassone) Chelsea loves the Holland's dogs and the sugar gliders, as long as she approaches them. She was scared when Maggie the dog licked her fingers, but later was delighted to watch her through the doggy gate.

Chelsea just woke up, hence the hair. Of course she goes right for her books!

What a goofball! She knows that we want her to smile for the camera. So now she makes a goofy grin face all the time!

We took a family walk to the park tonight. She didn't seem too impressed with the swing until we made it go fairly high. You'll have to click on this picture to see her face better. It's adorable!

Who can go to the park without going down the slide? Daddy's hips were not enjoying this one, though. Hehe!

Peek a boo! Check out those dimples! This is my favorite one of the evening. Pretty soon Chelsea will be able to walk through all by herself! She's starting to take a couple steps here and there on her own! The most is four steps before falling down. She walks best when she's not paying attention to what she's doing. But she is intentionally going short distances (one or two steps) fairly often now.

Here's her adventurous spirit in action...until she starts to get a little sick. At least we think she was getting sick. Who knows? The giggles and screeches are cute though. :)

Cute

Chelsea loves to put things on her head. Rags, dishtowels, toys, it just doesn't matter. She actually knocked herself over backward because the towel didn't go over her head. She pulled it against her forehead and over she went!

I'm so sleepy, Mommy!
Naps aren't a sure thing nowadays. Sometimes she will sleep for half an hour, sometimes an hour, sometimes longer. Occasionally I get 2 1/2 hours, but not often.

Mom and Dad had the Bone Family over for games. Chelsea and Isaac are reading nicely together. It was nice to see her interact with some other kids. She doesn't see too many except at church.

Rachel was nice enough to sit still so that Chelsea could use her to stand up.

She was also nice enough to be a stool for a bit. Can you tell she has an older brother? If the roles were reversed, I'm not sure Chelsea would have obliged...

Spaghetti. Need I say more?

Rocking Sheep

Chelsea is such a hoot. She is hilarious! I'm excited for her to learn to speak because I can't wait to hear what will come out of her mouth! The ba ba bas are fun for now. But I can't imagine what goes on in that little head. She's smart, though. She learns new tricks all the time. Uncle Randy taught her how to climb stairs. She blows saliva bubbles. Grandma Kelly taught her to open and flip through books with her thumbs. She sits at the big table with the grown ups and occasionally picks up a fork. (Eating with it is optional though. It's still mostly a toy.) She's getting better at walking holding on with just one hand. Right now she walks a bit like Igor with just one hand, which is funny. (She takes a step with one foot and then drags the other one along until it's caught up with the first, and then takes another step and drags a foot, etc.) She beckons with her fingers if she wants me to follow her, on the rare occasion that she will leave the room before I do. She loves shoulder rides from Daddy. Elmo seems to be her favorite stuffed toy. We can't tell if she's right or left-handed yet. We've had suspicions of left-handedness, but there's no hard evidence yet. Her hair is laying down a little more every day. I have mixed feelings about that. I love her up-do. Well, even working part time I don't seem to get any more done than I did when I was working full time. I have too much fun being distracted by the baby. She is so cute playing that I find myself just watching her a lot. Oh well. I guess once another one comes along I won't get that luxury. No, that's not an announcement, hehe.

This thing feels weird, Mommy.

Hey, it's got a face?

Fancy that!
