PreVacation August

There was a fun activity in the Target parking lot early this month. It was a lot like the fair, only everything was free!

There were several little kid fair-type games, a petting zoo, bouncy house, official vehicles on display and for sitting in, and food!

Brie was very interested in the penguin until he got too close. Then, she wasn't so interested anymore. When we walked away from him, her interest resumed.

Here are some of those official-type vehicles that the kiddos enjoyed sitting in.

 And pretending to drive.

We enjoyed having the Vande Hoef children come over while their parents went out gutting houses. Chelsea was VERY happy to have friends come over. She'd been feeling very friendless recently. We haven't seen to many friends, even at church, since we've been doing just a sacrament meeting most of the summer.
(The real schedule resumes next week after Stake Conference which is this weekend.)

Chels built this fabulous tower ALL by herself. She was so proud! And so brokenhearted when Brie knocked it over. Luckily she has decided that even though she is sad about the tower breaking, it's fun to build another one. Whew!

This is where we spend a lot of time-eating at the counter. The kids take SO long to eat. The television set being right there on the counter contributes, yes, but even if it is off they still take forever.

Is that Chelsea's version of Allen's Lego tower?

The mini fair thing at Target looked cool! I love Chelsea's tower. We need to get her and Reed together to play legos. :)
