April Randomness

Yay! I can finally retire the baby tub once again. I don't always bathe these two together, but sometimes when I'm feeling energetic I will. I love how much Brie loves the letters. It keeps her occupied while I get her cleaned up. I have to take Brie out before I can wash Chelsea's hair, though. Brie can't sit in the tub without hands nearby to catch her!

Tubs are slippery! Ya gotta keep a close hand on this little one so that she doesn't fall over or slide around in the waves (from big sister moving). She only got dunked a couple times, sputtering. :) It didn't make her fear bathtime, though sometimes she is ready to climb out immediately.

Isn't my family just cute?!

We have lazy times around here...Sometimes...

Chelsea and I planted seeds in these. Sadly, most of them have not survived. I'm not sure if I didn't use good seed soil (I used regular potting soil instead of the stuff with all the white beads) or if we just didn't water them enough, or if they didn't get enough sunlight. It was way too cold to leave them outside and then the winds began. So they spent lots of time indoors. Oh well. It was only a few bucks for the supplies. My hands and Chelsea's hands were like popsicles after this picture. It was SOOOOOOOOO cold that day. But I was excited to get started and so was she. So we hurried and got our dirt ready and wet and then went inside to actually plant. Brr!

Flexy baby!

This is the beginning of a flower. I forget what all this was for, but there were several tables set up at the mall sponsored by different businesses around town, all with activities and things to make or win or take home. Chelsea had a great time!

The satisfaction of making something! I know the feeling well.

Brie was sleeping for most of the fun, but she was nice and chipper when she did wake up!

Trying to get a decent shot of her new teeth. Tougher than it sounds! Can you see them? Right now (June 2) her two bottom teeth are quite obvious. They are still the only two, but more are coming. Sometime. They will come in. Hopefully soon. Boo teething!

We grabbed some lunch and played for awhile before leaving the mall.

Both girls enjoyed the see saw.

Chelsea will be embarrassed about this in a few years, but for now she doesn't care. The potty chair happened to be in the kitchen since she had used it to reach something or other. When she had to go, she flipped it open. And WENT. Oh well. I'm not worried about the fact that this is in the kitchen. I'm too happy that she uses the potty to care! Oh, and you'll notice the lock thing on the cabinet to the right-that's how it is supposed to be in Chelsea's mind. If they ever look different, we must fix it. Ha!

We had a joint FHE in the park one day with the Douglas family and the Ward family minus Daddy Ward who had to work. We had tin foil dinners (which we were going to cook at the park but I got paranoid that they would take forever to cook or we wouldn't get the fire going etc, so I baked them at home) and fruit and chips etc. We did get a good fire going eventually, and we cooked hot dogs for the kids there, but I'm sure glad we didn't have to wait for our dinners to cook!
Chelsea "helped" me put this shelf together. It now holds books, soft friends (toys to sleep with) and shoes. I like it, despite the cheapiness of this shelf compared to some other similar types on the market. It works for us.
